How we support Neonatal Unit Staff

The staff on the Neonatal Unit (Ward 35) are the heroes who work day and night to care for premature and sick babies and their families. As the dedicated charity for Ward 35 we support the staff whenever we can, often funding requests that the Unit would otherwise be unable to afford, helping staff to offer optimal care to the babies and families in their hands.

Some examples of what we fund and have funded for Unit staff:

• Travel costs to a training course or conference
• Accommodation costs for a hotel or conference
• Creative or Craft Materials, for example, craft materials for a ‘Be Kind to your Mind‘ mental health session
• A selection of books, including Books for Babies, an initiative encouraging parents to read to their baby on the Unit
• Funds towards event planning for awareness days (eg – World Prematurity Day, Kangaroo Care Day)
• Research Projects
