Connecting you with other parents who have been through the Neonatal Unit.

Mams Team

As a Mam, you may feel like you need support from other Mam’s who have been through something similar. All of our Peer Support Mam’s have experience of having a baby on the Unit and are able to offer support in a friendly, relaxed and comforting way. If you feel like you have unanswered questions, need a friendly conversation or are looking for someone to relate to – our peer support Mam’s are here for you.

You can access the Mam’s chat by scanning the QR code to the right.

SCBU Dad’s Team

As a Dad, you may have a completely different emotional experience to a Mam when your child has to spend time on the Unit. The Dad’s Team helps to address this and offers support in a friendly, informal environment.

The team is made up of Dads who have experienced life on the Unit, who will be chatting to and offering support to dads that are currently on the Neonatal Unit with their child. Meetings are very relaxed and all Dads are welcome. They also have a closed Facebook page for extra support and a Dad’s Chat Whatsapp group which you can join by scanning the QR code to the left.
