Great North Run 2025
Great North Run 2025 #TeamTinyLives, you were incredible!

Yesterday was an unforgettable day. Over 120 amazing runners took on the Great North Run for Tiny Lives – each one with their own story, determination and reason for supporting premature and sick babies on the RVI Neonatal Unit.
We were blown away by the effort, the smiles, the tears and the sheer grit it took to get over that finish line. Meeting our runners afterwards at the charity village was emotional beyond words. We shared hugs, laughter, and a few happy tears as medals were proudly held up.
We can’t thank you enough for your dedication, fundraising and passion. Every step you took will make a huge difference to babies and families who need our support.
A special thank you to those who helped make the weekend possible:
MTrec Recruitment – for our brilliant running tops
Mila Rosina’s Café, Cobalt Business Exchange Park – for providing snacks at our tent
Gemma, Perfectly You Spa – for much-needed massages
Dan and Eileen – our superstar volunteers
Rachna Bhalla (NHS NBS) – for mid-week calls to runners
Sarah Fiddes & Sheena Payne (NBS) – for giving their CSR Volunteer day to wish runners good luck
Jayne Edwards (NHS NBS) – for volunteering at mile 4.3
Gateshead Park Run – for lending us their megaphone so our small but mighty cheer squad could raise the roof
From mile one to the final sprint, and from every clap to every cheer – you made this weekend truly special.
