Meet, Chat, Learn – 2020 Schedule

Open exclusively to Ward 35 parents, Meet, Chat, Learn sessions are a great way to meet other Neonatal families, learn new skills and spend some bonding time with your little one. The classes are funded by Tiny Lives and provided by our delivery partners, so they are always free-of-charge to Ward 35 parents. Please find the latest schedule below. Baby Massage (6 weeks – 6 months)

Held by Kalmababy Gateshead, Baby Massage classes are suitable for babies aged between 6 weeks and 6 months. They’re a wonderful, calm session and give you the opportunity to bond with your baby through relaxing touch. These sessions also feature developmental techniques, as well as traditional baby massage. At the moment, all of these classes will be online. If we are able to secure a suitable venue, we will update this page as soon as we can. 

All sessions are held 10.00am – 11.00am.

Baby Yoga (6 weeks to sitting up)

Held by Kalmababy Gateshead, this session of Baby Yoga is for younger babies and those who are not yet sitting up unaided. The class incorporates music, song and sensory props, as well as traditional yoga poses too! We are working to adapt our delivery so that classes can be face-to-face, but if  this is not possible they will still go ahead online.

All sessions are held 10.00am – 11.00am.

Baby Yoga (sitting up and mobile babies)

Held by Kalmababy Gateshead, this session of Baby Yoga is for older babies, from those who can sit up unaided to those who are mobile. The class incorporates music, song and sensory props, as well as traditional yoga poses too! We are working to adapt our delivery so that classes can be face-to-face, but if  this is not possible they will still go ahead online.

All sessions are held 11.30am – 12.30pm.

Movement, Music and Sensory Class (6 weeks – 12 months)

Held by The Baby Hub Gateshead, these award-winning classes feature a mix of singing, music, action songs and themed sensory fun. Singing with your baby has been proven to help strengthen your bond, and this is the perfect class to try out a few songs! Each week, there will be a theme such as Farm, Garden and Weather. We are working to adapt our delivery so that classes can be face-to-face, but if  this is not possible they will still go ahead online.

All sessions are held 1.00pm – 2.00pm.

Boogie Bairns (6 weeks to 12 months)

Boogie Bairns sessions are held by Children North East, and are a fun mix of music, singing, dancing and bubbles! These sessions are a great way to get your baby moving and enjoying lights, sounds and other sensory stimulation. We are working to adapt our delivery so that classes can be face-to-face, but if  this is not possible they will still go ahead online.

All sessions are held 11.00am – 12.00pm.
