Spotlight: Mam’s Team

With Mother’s Day this week, we’re celebrating the incredible Mams in our Peer Support Team.

Our Mam’s Team is made up of incredible women who have all experienced the Neonatal journey on Ward 35. They know first hand the challenges, worries, and emotions that come with having a baby in neonatal care. Now, they volunteer their time to listen, support, and offer comfort to Mams both on and off the Ward, providing support from someone who truly understands.

Not only do they offer a WhatsApp group, Mams Chat, where current and former Ward 35 Mams can connect for advice and shared experiences, but they also volunteer on the neonatal unit itself, offering in-person support, a friendly face, and a safe space for parents to talk.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the incredible Peer Support Mams who give their time to help others, as well as every Mam navigating the neonatal journey.
