Walk while you Wait: Lockdown-suitable peer support for Ward 35 Dads
We know that having a baby on the Neonatal Unit is especially hard for Dads at the moment, due to COVID-19 visiting restrictions. The Dads’ Team peer support volunteers are here for Ward 35 Dads.
If you would like to meet a member of the Team for a supportive chat and walk around the hospital grounds or in nearby Leazes Park, whilst waiting to visit your little one, get in touch on the info below.
To get your own peer supporter and set up your walk, you just need to:
- Get in touch with the Dads’ Team on 07305869344 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Someone will get back to you within 48hrs.
- They’ll ask a few questions to find out your availability and allocate you a member of the peer support team.
- They’ll arrange a time and place to meet you for your walk and chat. The member of the Dads’ Team will be wearing a Tiny Lives t-shirt and face covering, and will have an ID badge.
- Enjoy your walk, you can even treat yourself to a coffee – on us.
Remember to be COVID-Safe!
In order to ensure safety, the meet-ups will all occur outdoors and will be socially-distanced. Tiny Lives cannot take any responsibility for the actions of those taking part in the walks and we urge you to be careful and considerate – thank you!
