Andy Sanderson – a long-time supporter of Tiny Lives – has taken on a new challenge this year, commiting to an amazing 4 marathons in 2019, in order to raise money for the charity.
Andy and his partner Caroline (who is also an amazing supporter of Tiny Lives, she was the first across the line and into the charity tent for the 2018 GNR) sadly lost their son Zachary in 2015, after he spent 6 weeks on the Neonatal Unit. They both are determined to honour his memory by raising as much money as possible, and to date have raised over £25,000 for Tiny Lives.
Andy has recently completed the first of his 4 marathons, the Northumberland Trail Marathon, despite being ill! He will soon be completing the Manchester Marathon, and is training hard alongside his family (such as enlisting Zach’s brother Harry for the South Shields Park Run, pictured above!).
We are so grateful to Andy and Caroline for their amazing support, they truly are part of the Tiny Lives family.
