Charity Cycle in loving memory of Caleb raises over £300
Caleb’s parents – Colleen Wilson and Gary Wood – recently made the amazing decision to fundraise for Tiny Lives in memory of their son, turning their loss into hope for future premature babies and their families on the RVI Neonatal Unit.
Caleb Nevelle Wilson Wood sadly passed away on the Unit. The care that he and his parents received motivated Colleen to plan a fundraising cycle from Colleen’s home in Easington Lane to Hartlepool at the end of June 2018, a distance of around 14 miles!
Despite getting drenched on the day and suffering a punctured tyre (which was luckily repaired with the help of a puncture kit donated by a kind passing cyclist!), Colleen and Gary successfully completed the ride.
They raised an incredible £347.04 for Tiny Lives, which they delivered personally to the Tiny Lives offices.
We can’t thank Colleen and Gary enough for their kind support of Tiny Lives, it really is a lovely way to keep Caleb’s memory alive.
