Annual Tiny Lives Golf Day raises over £4,000
The Tiny Lives Golf Day is always one of the most popular events of the year, but 2018 event stands out for it’s success – raising over £4,000 throughout the course of the day!
The Golf Day, which took place on Friday 8th June at Gosforth Golf Club, was organised by committed Tiny Lives supporter Mike Cramman, the man behind all of Tiny Lives’ previous golf days. Mike kindly dedicated great deal of personal time and effort to the event, which certainly showed on the day.
Holes were sponsored by generous local businesses and over 180 competitors entered the tournament, with the money paid by sponsors and golfers going directly to the Tiny Lives Trust.
A raffle was also held during the presentation evening, helping to raise even more during the day, plus an evening BBQ at the Millstone pub which also helped to raise funds. The sun even shone, making it a great day out for all involved!
Two employees from Tesco Bank were also kind enough to give up their time to volunteer at the event, which we were very grateful for!
Taking to Twitter, Mike said: “To every golfer, company and sponsor that either played or donated prizes to my charity golf day in aid of the Tiny Lives Trust, I would like to thank you for helping to raise an outstanding £4065.10.”
We can’t thank Mike enough for all of his hard work, as well as all of the sponsors, golfers, volunteers and business that made the event such a success. Keep an eye on the Tiny Lives website and social media channels for details of next year’s Golf Day!
