Dad to undertake 69 Mile ‘Ultra Running Marathon’ in aid of Tiny Lives
Dedicated supporter Lee Wilkinson – having completed the Great North Run three times – has decided to take on an even more daunting running challenge for 2018, in order to raise money for the Tiny Lives Trust.
This June he’ll be tackling ‘The Wall’, an Ultra Running Marathon of 69 miles through the countryside alongside Hadrian’s Wall, a distance that is the equivalent to 5 back-to-back Great North Runs!.
The record time for completing this gruelling course is 9 hours, 43 minutes and 8 seconds; so it really is a huge feat of endurance.
Lee has chosen to fundraise for Tiny Lives in respect of the care received by his son Archie on the RVI Neonatal Unit in 2015, saying that “the care and help we received whilst there I will never forget”.
We want to wish Lee the best of luck for this amazing challenge! We are so grateful for his incredible support, which will make a huge difference to premature babies and their families at the RVI.
