Amanda’s skydive in loving memory of Bradley Higgins
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Amanda Higgins who took on a sky dive in June 2017 and raised the staggering amount of £2,385.23 for Tiny Lives, in loving memory of her son, Bradley Higgins, who passed away aged one week in January 2008.
Bradley was born on the 18th January weighing a healthy 8lb 6oz but after four days he suddenly became poorly and had to be rushed to the Special Care Baby Unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, After emergency surgery I was told Bradley had a twisted bowel leaving his bowel too badly damaged to be repaired leaving his chances of survival very slim. Bradley died on 25th January aged one week of Neonatal Volvulus.
I’ve chose to donate any money raised to Tiny Lives because this was the charity that assisted me and my family as much as we required in the short time we were at the RVI, Newcastle. – Amanda Higgins
Thank you so much to everyone who supported Amanda and donated so generously in Bradley’s memory.
Amanda’s original fundraising target was £500, but with the incredible support of family, friends and colleagues at Network Rail, Amanda raised over 4 times this amount.
