Call Out for Research Participants
We’ve had a request from a Psychology Student at Northumbria University who would like some help with a research project titled ‘The role of social support on wellbeing in parents of preterm and full-term children’.
Research is a vital part of making sure we’re doing all we can to support families on the Special Care Baby Unit so any help you could give is greatly appreciated.
Please see below for the information from Mark and do share to anyone who might be interested. If you have any questions about this research, please do get in touch with Mark directly.

Hello,
We are researching the different ways that people are affected by pre-term childbirth. We are looking for parents to take part in this research. To take part you must:
- 18 years or older
- Have a child under the age of 5 years, born either pre-term or post-term.
In this study we will ask you some questions to investigate the level of support you receive from others and your well-being (i.e., levels of stress, depression and anxiety). This study should take around 15-20 minutes to complete.
If you would like more information or would like to take part, please click HERE (or type https://nupsych.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_88Gy5GHds9pnxDT into your browser).
This study has been approved by the Faculty of Health and Life Science’s Ethics Committee at Northumbria University.
Thank you for your time
